The Rainbow Colored People Celebrates

i wasn't really sure about the news of the overturning of the ban on same-sex marriage here in California.. I did know that people were fighting for it though.. I even did an archive project on it [full credit.. woohoo!!].. i just came across Yahoo! news a few minutes ago and read that CA is finally legalizing gay marriages.. the justices ruled on a decision of 4-3..



i blame myself for being socially inactive these past few days.. i haven't really been functioning socially lately.. although I am happy for the people that are rejoicing right now and lining up at San Francisco to get their marriage licenses [which is not possible, as said that it has to be 30 days after the decision], im still kind of debating with myself if how would this issue impact on the conservatives, which i came across just now, are still fighting for overturning the just overturned law.. it seems that the fight isn't over yet.. the law seems to be temporary as of now.. ugh.. my only worry is that this is a big part of history and someday soon this will be written in books and will be taught in schools and I WAS ALIVE ON THE DAY IT HAPPENED[the 9/11 tragedy too].. argh! i feel so old just thinking about that.. anyways.. this is not about me.. this about them.. i have good friends that are gays and lesbians and i guess it would be nice to know that they are slowly getting accepted by society..
